How To Make Loaded Teas Without Caffeine
So many of you want to make a caffeine-free version of your favorite loaded teas. While it may sound as easy as mixing some flavored drinks mixes together, you still want the look and feel of a loaded tea that has vitamins and a fizzy taste.
For those of you not overly familiar with loaded teas, the main source of caffeine comes from the energy base, i.e. 4C Energy Rush, Zipfizz, Voost Energy, etc. These not only provide caffeine but also vitamins and effervescence (fizz). So, let’s talk about some caffeine-free alternatives that you can use instead.

What Is Voost?
The impressive line of Voost products is a great place to start! Let’s talk some specifics.
Voost comes in an effervescent tablet form that easily dissolves in water. In addition to being loaded with vitamins, they are sugar-free and aspartame-free, using sucralose as their artificial sweetener. Voost is made in Germany by the well-known Procter & Gamble and uses ingredients such as beet and vegetable juice as opposed to dyes. Most of the tablets contain 7-11 calories and all are zero carb. The sodium content ranges from 105 to 340 on the products we reviewed.
Most of the Voost products can be found at Walmart at a very affordable cost. We only paid $8.95 per box for each of the products we reviewed. Each box contains one tube of 20 tablets, making the cost per tablet only $0.45. Currently, some of these can be found on Amazon at an even lower price.
You can even drink Voost alone, using as little as 8 ounces of water for a stronger taste or 16 ounces for a weaker taste. One tablet works perfectly in our caffeine-free loaded tea recipes.
VOOST vitamin D
Great flavor! It’s very similar to the overall taste of 4C Energy Rush Berry, but just a little stronger and smoother.
Something of note with this one is that each tablet has 50mcg of Vitamin D, which is more than double the recommended daily allowance. It also has 340mcg of sodium, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for people watching their sodium intake.
Voost beauty
It’s supposed to taste like strawberry kiwi, but it’s just a light and fruity flavor in my opinion. Still great!
My only note is the amount of sodium per serving, which is 320mg. I think that is a little high. While it doesn’t taste too salty once it’s dissolved, I would like to see it at a lower level. This is a great way to get some important vitamins, but be mindful if you are watching your salt intake.
Voost Magnesium
It’s a classic lemon-lime taste with no particular citrus dominating the flavor profile. It’s light, not overly sweet, and doesn’t have any artificial aftertaste. Really great for mixing with other flavors!
The sodium content is much lower than some of the other Voost products, coming in at about 10 percent of the daily allowance.
Voost Women’s Multi
The flavor is great without being too sweet or overbearing. To me, it is very similar to a zero-calorie sparkling water and would be easy to drink on a daily basis. Very tropical and citrus-y!
The most impressive thing about this one is the vitamin lineup – WOW! If you are looking for a good multivitamin, it’s worth taking a look into.
Voost Vitamin C
The orange kick is a great way to start the day. I think it tastes more like grapefruit juice than blood orange, but the citrus pop is really coming through.
For anyone looking to up their Vitamin C intake, this is an easy way to get 1000 mg in the drop of a tablet.
Voost Men’s Multi
The flavor is super berry no matter the amount of water added and is true to its blueberry/pomegranate name. There is a mineral and vitamin taste with a metallic undertone, which I’m assuming comes from iron, but I think the sweet berry flavors do a good job masking the vitamin taste.
Overall, I think these provide a cool, refreshing, and tasty way to get your daily multivitamins.
Voost Hydrate
The fruit punch flavor wasn’t that fruity or punchy. My opinion is that it has more of a vitamin taste and maybe cherry coming through, but I couldn’t put my finger on the other flavors. It’s packed with electrolytes and B vitamins, which are perfect for hydration.
Overall, I think it’s a nice and convenient way to boost your hydration on the go, especially for travel, the gym, or a long work shift.
WRAP IT UP!
You can enjoy the same look and feel of your favorite loaded teas without the caffeine. Maybe you want to pour one at the end of a long day but don’t need any more energy, or maybe you can’t have caffeine at all. Hopefully, this information has given some new options that will expand your drink menu, while still staying on budget the Silver Lining Lessons way.
