Silver lining lessons -Every[mis]step of the way

This blog has been a dream for quite some time, and I finally decided to jump right in. First steps are always the hardest, right?

I am here to share my experiences in such a way that you begin to see your own Silver Lining Lessons.

A little over a year ago, my husband lost his pretty cush, six-figure income. It stopped us dead in our tracks and forced us to reevaluate what was important. Times weren’t always easy, but we now see that losing his job was one of the best things that ever happened to our family. It put us on a fast track to living more in the moment and stripping down to the basics.

The focus of this blog was initially about budgeting and breaking up with a very spend-happy lifestyle. Habits are hard to break. The process of editing and deleting certain luxuries has been humbling. Along the way, I learned more about myself than expected and felt like I had more to share than just budgeting.

Oh, and did I mention we started homeschooling during a global pandemic? It has completely changed our lives – for the better. (But, still send ALL the wine.) I am honestly not sure who has learned more so far, me or them.

It has been the wildest, most satisfying year.

I am so excited to share with you and learn even more as I go. Cheers to finding and appreciating your very own Silver Lining Lessons!
